Introduction: Universities in the path of survival, development, and excellence will inevitably be continually aligned with complex, ambiguous and turbulent environmental changes which will not be achieved by managing, planning, and deciding on scientific, research-based and accurate, up-to-date, and accurate information. The purpose of this study was to design and psychometric evaluation of measurement tools for Institutional research functions.
Method: This combined research was conducted in 1397 in the research community of faculty members and managers of the University of Technology in Noushirvani. The basic tool is through the extensive study of theoretical foundations, previous research on related articles, and the functions of Institutional research at the top universities, with 70 designed items which was reduced to 58 courses in two Delphi stages (10 people).Ultimately, the confirmatory factor analysis of the mentioned tool was confirmed using Smart Pls3 software.
Findings: After completing the validity and reliability steps, a questionnaire with 6 dimensions and 37 items was designed. The content validity index of all items was higher than 0.7. In construct validity study, the factor load factor of all items, the proper values were mostly higher than 0.7, the reliability of both criteria (Cronbach's alpha, composite reliability) all dimensions greater than 0.7, the average of extracted variance (AVE) in all dimensions was greater than 0.5.
Conclusion: The designed tool has good credibility and reliability and can be used as a tool for evaluating the functions of Institutional research.
