The impact of educational multimedia on problem solving strategies and academic goal-orientation of student.

Abstract
Introduction: One of the advantages of using educational multimedia is to raise the studentchr('39')s motivation for participation, collaboration skills, problem-solving skills, and facilitate the achievement of the goal.The aim of the current study was to investigate the impact of educational multimedia on problem solving strategies and academic goal-orientation of student.
Methods: The research method was experimental with pretest - posttest design and a control group. The statistical population was composed all undergraduate students of payame noor university of Aran and Bidgol in the year 2017-2018, 60 of them were selected by available sampling method as sample and were randomly assigned to experimental and control groups (n=30). The experimental group trained 8 sessions of 1 hour in a multimedia environment. The research tools include Cassidy and Lang problem solving strategies (2002) and academic goal-orientation of Buffard&et al (1998) questionnaire.
Results: The findings of the study a multivariate analysis of covariance (MANCOVA) showed educational multimedia influences the problem-solving strategies and academic goal-oriented students (P<0.001). showed educational multimedia influences on the components of problem-solving strategies (Failure to resolve the issue, Avoidance problem, Avoiding, Creative, Confidence, trends) and the components of academic goal-oriented (mastery of purpose, performance and avoidance of failure). (P<0.001).
Conclusion: The results of the study showed educational multimedia influences the problem-solving strategies. academic goal-oriented students and this new method be used to educate learners in other courses and academic grades.
