Evaluation of learning organization dimensions based on six-factor model at Iran University of Medical Sciences

Introduction: Learning organization is one of the new approaches for organizations management in the direction of changes resulting from globalization of economy and related complexities in today’s ever changing and shaking environment. The main objective of this research is to assess the Iran University of Medical Sciences which includes some components such as motivated learners, breeding culture, a perspective and outlook for learning, increased learning, supportive management and changeable structures.
Methods: Type of research is Non-experimental - Descriptive one in terms of controlling the variables. The statistical society of such research is the faculty members at the foregoing university who were about 2110 members in 2018-2019 that the final sample volume has been specified equivalent to 325 members applying Morgan's table and stratified random sampling. Meanwhile the data has been collected using INVEST Questionnaire and then analyzed based on two levels of Descriptive and Inferential Statistics applying SPSS22 & LISREL10 soft ware's.
Results: The results arising from such research are indicative of this matter that the Iran University of Medical Sciences stands in the intermediate level and even upper intermediate one in terms of enjoying the learning organization's features. In this regard, the data analysis shows that there has been a meaningful difference (P<0.05) among the experimental, empirical and theoretical averages related to the motivated learners, breeding culture, increased learning, supportive management and the learning perspective and outlook while there has been no meaningful difference observed between the variable experimental and theoretical averages relevant to the changeable structures.
Conclusion: According to the findings of the study, the driving force in the transformation of Iran University of Medical Sciences into a learning organization is provided, and the efforts and double support of managers in improving and upgrading the above component are suggested in order to achieve a real learning organization.
