This study was conducted in order to investigate and identify challenges and opportunities in the field of developing and launching an interdisciplinary program on cancer and traditional medicine.</span></span></span></span><br> <span style="font-size:11pt"><span style="line-height:115%"><span calibri="" style="font-family:"><b><span new="" roman="" style="font-family:" times="">Methodology: </span></b><span new="" roman="" style="font-family:" times="">This qualitative study with an in-depth review of texts and the most up-to-date and relevant articles and holding a panel with a combination of experts to identify the challenges and opportunities of developing and launching an interdisciplinary program of cancer and traditional medicine in It was done in 1401-1402 at Babol University of Medical Sciences. According to the content analysis, the extracted items were coded and placed in related categories, and the dimensions and components were categorized.</span></span></span></span><br> <span style="font-size:11pt"><span style="line-height:115%"><span calibri="" style="font-family:"><b><span new="" roman="" style="font-family:" times="">Findings</span></b><span new="" roman="" style="font-family:" times="">: The challenges and opportunities of developing and launching an interdisciplinary program were identified in 53 concepts (sub-codes) and 9 main categories, which are: structural/organizational, policy-making, educational challenges and opportunities. infrastructure and resources, process and teamwork problems, complex nature of the disease, social culture, support and non-professionals.</span></span></span></span><br> <span style="font-size:11pt"><span style="line-height:115%"><span calibri="" style="font-family:"><b><span new="" roman="" style="font-family:" times="">Conclusion: </span></b><span new="" roman="" style="font-family:" times="">The opportunities and challenges of the interdisciplinary development programs of cancer and traditional medicine were identified in this study. Applying these opportunities and solving identified challenges has a great impact on the progress of prevention, diagnosis, care, treatment, pain relief and survival and quality of life of cancer patients.
