In this research, was studied the role of psychological capital (i.e., hope, optimism, self-efficacy, resilience) in students' academic commitment.   Methods: In this correlational study, 300 students from the faculty of humanities in University of Guilan were selected through cluster sampling method in 2017-18 accademic years. In order to collect data were used the Luthans et al Psychological Capital Questionnaire and Human-Vogel and Rabe Academic Commitment Scale. SPSS-23 and Lisrel software were used to calculate the data. Results: The results of pearson correlation coefficient showed that there is a positive and significant relationship between psychological capital and academic commitment (r=0.426). Also, the results of a significant test of path coefficients showed that the role of psychological capital (hope, optimism, self-efficacy, resiliency) on educational commitment was significant (P≤0.05;t≥1.96), and psychological capital with a coefficient of 0.51 can directly explain 0.26 of the variance of academic commitment. Conclusions: The present results support the importance of psychological capital in predicting academic commitment in students. Therefore, it seems that in order to increase the academic commitment of students, should be considered the role of predictor variables.}, Keywords = {Hope ,Optimism ,Self-efficacy Psychological Resilience,Academic Commitment }, volume = {12}, Number = {3}, pages = {1-11}, publisher = {Baqiyatallah University of Medical Sciences}, url = {http://edcbmj.ir/article-1-1436-en.html}, eprint = {http://edcbmj.ir/article-1-1436-en.pdf}, journal = {Education Strategies in Medical Sciences}, issn = {2345-5284}, eissn = {2345-5284}, year = {2019} } @article{ author = {Fathi, Mohammad and Valiee, Si}, title = {Nursing, Midwifery and Operations Room students` perception of the educational environment of Kurdistan University of Medical Sciences}, abstract ={Introduction: Educational environment is an effective factor in the success of the curriculum and the learning level of student. The data collection tool was a two-part questionnaire including demographic information and the Dundee Ready Educational Environment Measure (DREEM) questionnaire completed by self-report. Data were analyzed by SPSS software version 16 using descriptive statistics.   Results: The results showed that 19.8% of the students evaluate the educational environment of the faculty as semi-desirable (with a lot of problems) and 75.8% evaluate it somewhat favorable (more positive than negative). 75.1% of nursing students, 72.2% of midwifery students and 80.8% of the operating room students were evaluated their educational environment to be somewhat favorable (more positive to negative). Empathy is the ability of one person to understand what another person is thinking and feeling in a given situation. The goal of this study is to explore the relationship between students’ empathy and their learning behaviors. The first task of our work is to classify students into clusters based on their empathy measures. Clustering is an area of artificial intelligence (AI). Clustering is an unsupervised classification in which, classes are not labeled at first. The second task of our work is to find a correlation between student’s empathy and their learning behavior measures. Methods We used a questionnaire to assess empathy of students. Similar samples are classified in one cluster. Then clusters can be labeled based their attributes. In this work we present labels for students due to their empathy measures. We used a teacher-reported questionnaire to assess learning behavior of students. Results A meaningful relation was realized between empathy scores and learning behaviors in the classroom for boy students. There is a reverse relationship between empathy and learning behaviors. Methods: In this descriptive and correlational research.was conducted on 265 students in Qom University of Medical Sciences were  selected through stratified random sampling method with considering gender from School of Medicine, Dental Medicine, Nursing, Paramedics, Health and Traditional Medicine. Data were collected through 3 standard questionnaires on Quality of Learning Experience of Neuman, self-regulation of Hong and O’Neil and academic burnout of Berso et al. The Data were analyzed in SPSS (version 16) using descriptive statistics methods, Pearson correlation and independent t-test, and multiple regression analysis. Results: The results of Pearson correlation test showed that there was significant negative relationship between component Quality of resources with total of academic burnout scale and significant positive relationship between component student-student relationship with total of academic burnout scale (P<0/01). One of these factors is the academic self-efficacy of the students, which has been defined as the students' views about the capability to study within the educational process. The aim of this study was to assess the academic self-efficacy of students at Qom University of Medical Sciences in 2017-2108  Methods: over this cross-sectional study, a descriptive-analytic method was adopted across  a multi-stage sampling among various faculties  with respect to entrance and graduation so-called yardsticks. The data collecting instrument was a demographic  characteristics questionnaire and a standardized academic self-efficacy questionnaire(32  articulated item). Data have been  described through SPSS version 19 and central indices and frequency distribution and then analyzed through independent T tests,  ANOVA  software and  Duncan test and Pearson and spearman  correlation coefficients in p value(significance level)  less than /05.  Results: The mean and standard deviation of the age of the samples were 21/38±1/72 scores, and% 81/9 female, %78/7 male and %56/9 settled in dormitory. The students' academic self-efficacy mean and standard deviation  were 109/84±21/19  from the achieved  range of 30-160 .This result reveals that %4/3 have weak academic self-efficacy and %57/4 have average academic self-efficacy and %38/3 have favorite academic self-efficacy. Statistical tests suggest that academic self-efficacy on the basis of sex (p= /014) and on the basis of the type and the  location  of  faculty (p= //001) have statistically different significance. Pearson correlation coefficient revealed  that between  academic self-efficacy and overall academic mean ,there was a  direct significant correlation (p<0 /001 , r=/381) Conclusion: Ultimately, the results revealed  that the students of Qom University of Medical Sciences have moderate academic self-efficacy and based on  its relevance  with some components which is  Effective in studying, it is essential  to take into account  the student's promoting  programs for the university.}, Keywords = {Academic self-efficacy, academic achievement, student}, volume = {12}, Number = {3}, pages = {45-52}, publisher = {Baqiyatallah University of Medical Sciences}, url = {http://edcbmj.ir/article-1-1604-en.html}, eprint = {http://edcbmj.ir/article-1-1604-en.pdf}, journal = {Education Strategies in Medical Sciences}, issn = {2345-5284}, eissn = {2345-5284}, year = {2019} } @article{ author = {ahmadi, ahmad and aliannegad, mohamad reza and fathabadi, roholl}, title = {The Effect of Teaching based on the Four-Component Instructional Design Model on the Students’ Learning in Physiology}, abstract ={Introduction: Different models of instructional design play an important role in improving student learning and education. The statistical population of this study was all nursing students of Nursing and Midwifery Faculty of Kermanshah University in the academic year of 2015-2016. Out of the target community, 30 people were selected using convenience sampling and randomly assigned to experimental group (n=15) and control group (n=15). In this study, the four-component instructional design model for physiology course was implemented on the experimental group in 10 sessions of 45 minutes during a semester. The control group did not receive any intervention. At the end of the training sessions, both groups were evaluated again.
