Professors, Spiritual Characteristics for Role- Modeling Education

Aims: The most important goal of education, is helping students promote spiritual health, and bring up innate talents and spiritual training for their human perfection. This study aimed to introduce, professors, spiritual characteristics for role- modeling education from the perspective of Islam.

Methods: In the qualitative study, a systematic review, focused on the question "What is spiritual indicators of perfect human” articles published in the years 1990 to 2016 with the keyword: human, spiritual needs, spiritual health, in databases: PubMed, science direct, google scholar, SID, Cochrane were investigated. Commentaries of Shiite, reliable hadiths related to the characteristics of the owners of sound heart, were analyzed by Walker Avant content analysis method. Spiritual indicators of role- model professors were determined.

Results: Role-model professors (The owners of sound heart) have spiritual health, they failed to nurture their innate talents, with self-purification, Journey to the much faith, Daily Self -care,   adherence to spiritual lifestyle prophets as perfect humans, recognition in religion, to achieve moral virtues: Wisdom, Chastity, Courage, , justice, Generosity Kindness,  Dignity of soul,  Mahmoud position.  They play an important role, as a part of hidden curriculum, in pastoral self- care training to their students.

Conclusion: Due to the students search for meaning and their spiritual needs, professor should help them to achieve natural talents and spiritual health, by being as memes (Mentor, Guide, and role model).They should educate them based on social learning method.
