Investigating the relationship between IQ and metacognition with academic performance by mediating critical thinking in secondary school students in Khoramdarah.

 The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between IQ and metacognition with academic performance through critical thinking mediators. To do this research, 300 students of high school students in Khorramdar city were selected by multistage sampling method (289 people remained the sample after removal of data). For collecting data, questionnaires were used: Rayon Progressive Matrices (RPM), Wales meta-cognitive beliefs (-30MCQ), California Critical Thinking Tests (cctst), and GPA. The present study was correlational and data analysis was performed using Pearson correlation coefficient, structural equation modeling and bootstrap test in MacroPrice & Hayes computer program (AMOS-20). The results showed that the proposed model of structural equations for relations between variables The aforementioned, it was acceptable to fit. In other words, intelligence and meta-cognition are directly related both indirectly and through critical thinking with academic performance.
