Aims: Nowadays, the widespread use of new technologies and the need for more education and expense, force the educational and economical centers to use the new educational approaches. One of these approaches is e-learning. Knowledge management seeks to increase the information processing capacity through innovation and creative power of human beings. This paper aimed to investigate the effect of Nonaka & Takeuchi knowledge management model implementation on teaching/learning process in psychology course.
Methods: This quasi-experimental study was done in the first semester 0f 2011-2012 in students of Allameh Tabatabai University, College of Psychology and 36 students were selected by random sampling method. Data were collected by the researcher-made achievement test and a questionnaire to assess the students' motivation for academic success. Independent T-test and SPSS 18 software were used to analyze the data .
Results: The two groups showed no significant difference in pretest scores but the posttest score of the experimental group was significantly higher than the control group. Academic success motivation score of experimental (195.77±20.89) and control (182.33±19.78) groups showed a significant difference (p=0.04).
Conclusion: E-learning based on Nonaka & Takeuchi knowledge management model is effective on university students’ achievement.
