Factors affecting the attitude of Faculty and Students towards electronic education

Introduction: Electronic education is considered one of the most updated learning environments in this era. It creates a flexible and comfortable teaching and learning environment for every user, both students and professors, as the main elements of the educational system, in addition to not creating time and place restrictions. Knowing the level of preparation and attitude of these users is a necessity for the successful implementation of e-learning. The aim of this study is to investigate the factors affecting the attitude of Faculty and students after the implementation of e-learning in the era of Covid-19.
Methods The present descriptive-survey study was conducted on 391 students and 115 Faculty of Isfahan University of Medical Sciences in affiliated faculties that were selected by stratified random sampling method. Two standard e-learning readiness and Faculty' attitude questionnaires to e-learning were used. Data analysis was done with descriptive statistics and inferential statistics [one-way analysis of variance ANOVA and t-test] with SPSS software version 22.
Results: Students' access to the technology required for e-learning" with mean of 3.89 ± 1.1 indicates good preparation and "acquiring the necessary and continuous skills and communication with mean of 4.06 ± 70 has the highest score from the point of view. There were students and the professors assigned the highest score to the sense of usefulness with mean of 29.76 ± 4 and multimedia training with mean of 86.4 ± 11.00, which indicated their high motivation in using electronic education.
Conclusion: The positive attitude of students by observing the necessary and necessary factors in e- leaning shows that this type of education can significantly help their learning process. Also, the positive targeting of Faculty is towards the optimal use of the e-learning environment as an important educational tool according to the real intention of using this tool.
