Intruduacton: The purpose of this study was to investigate the role of moderating social achievement goals in relation to educational climate and academic vitality in students. Method: The research method is descriptive correlational. The statistical population of the study consisted of all undergraduate nursing students of Tabriz University of Medical Sciences and were selected by simple random sampling method (249). Data was collected using a questionnaire of academic vitality, educational atmosphere, and social achivment goals. For data analysis, spss software and descriptive statistics (mean and standard deviation) and inferential statistics (correlation coefficient and moderator regression) were used .
Results: There is a significant relationship between educational atmosphere and academic vitality. Social performance-approch goal and social mastery goale by negatively affecting the relationship between educational climate and academic vitality. the Social performance –avoidance goal have played a moderating role by positively influencing this relationship.
Conclusions: If a student is Social performance-approch goal and social mastery goale, regardless of the status of the educational climat, he will pursue his goals with vitality, and if a student is Social performance –avoidance goal , influenced by the educational atmosphere. if escaped, and with the improvement of the high educational vitality and the deterioration of the low vitality education climat Will experience.
