Introduction: The purpose of this research was to determine the prediction model of social anxiety by examining some predictor variables of social anxiety. In this study, social self-efficacy and coping style were examined as predictors of social anxiety. Methods: 220 students of Tehran participated in this research. These children completed the social anxiety scale, self-efficacy scale for social situations and coping style. After collecting the data, the results were analyzed by determining the correlation coefficient and the statistical model of simultaneous multivariate regression. Results: The results showed that both variables of social self-efficacy and coping style had a significant relationship with social anxiety and the prediction model of social anxiety included emotional coping style. Therefore, it can be concluded that emotional coping style can predict social anxiety in primary school children. Conclusion: Self-efficacy has a negative and significant relationship with social anxiety. Also, among stress coping styles, emotion-oriented coping style had a direct and significant relationship with social anxiety, but the relationship between problem-oriented coping style and social anxiety was not significant. Therefore, the more people use emotional coping style, the more they suffer from social anxiety.
