Introduction: Professional values, by motivating nurses to effectively address ethical challenges and guiding their interactions with patients and colleagues, can play a crucial role in their professional quality of life. Based on this perspective, the present study aimed to examine the relationship between clinical ethics and psychological capital with nurses’ quality of life.
Methods: This study employed a descriptive correlational design. The statistical population consisted of all nurses working at Shahid Chamran Medical Center in Tehran in 2023. A total of 100 nurses were selected through non-random convenience sampling. Data were collected using the Nursing Code of Ethics Questionnaire, the Quality-of-Life Questionnaire, and the Psychological Capital Questionnaire. Data analysis was performed using descriptive statistics (mean and standard deviation) and inferential statistics (correlation and regression analyses).
Results: The findings indicated a statistically significant relationship between clinical ethics and psychological capital with nurses’ quality of life (p ≤ 0.05).
Conclusion: It can be concluded that nurses with stronger adherence to clinical ethics and higher levels of psychological capital experience a better quality of life. |
