Introduction:Interpersonal communication has been constantly considered in recent years and has been considered as an important requirement for successful job performance in organizations.This study was conducted with the aim of providing a conceptual model of interpersonal communication skills of  Educational  managers and staff in Zanjan University of Medical Sciences.
Methods: This research was conducted with a mixed approach. In the qualitative phase, with the  grounded theory approach of Strass Corbin(2008), by reviewing texts and in-depth and semi-structured interviews with 10 managers and expert educational staff in the field of the subject under study, a model of interpersonal communication skills was designed and in the quantitative part The fit of the model was determined by completing the questionnaire by 200 people of the research sample, through confirmatory factor analysis and using Lisrel software.
Results: In the first stage of open coding, 216 concepts were obtained.Open and axial coding phase data was classified in the form of 90 concepts and 16 major categories.Then, they were classified according to situational, interactive/process and consequential characteristics. In the selective coding stage, the category of communication based on human dignity was chosen as the central category. The conceptual model was based on 61 items and 12 confirmation factors and indicators showed the appropriate fit of the model.
Conclusion: The results of the study showed that the conceptual model includes the components of (individual characteristics, professional characteristics, occurrence of civil behavior, strengthening of human and social relations, attention to moral and ideological principles, occurrence of deviant and abnormal organizational behavior, quality of work life, factors structural and managerial, establishing communication based on human dignity, improving organizational attitudes and organizational excellence) can adequately explain interpersonal communication skills based on human dignity.
