National expectations and local realities: the experience of the teachers of the first secondary school in Hormozgan province from changing the curriculum

 Introduction: The purpose of this research is to describe the lived experience of first grade secondary school teachers in Hormozgan in facing the implementation of curriculum changes.
Methodology: Qualitative research approach was done with phenomenological method. The participants of the research were the all teachers of the first year of high school in Hormozgane who were faced with the phenomenon of change and implementation of curriculum changes. To achieve theoretical saturation, 20 of them who were selected with the purposeful sampling approach and snowball method were interviewed. The data collection tool was a semi-structured interview. Data analysis was done through thematic analysis technique and using maxqda software. to evaluate the validity and reliability of the study, four criteria of validity, transferability, reliability and confirmability were used.
Results: Analyzing the data from the interviews into 73 basic themes, 17 organizing themes of the second stage, 4 organizing themes of the first stage including; "Improper platform and context for the implementation of changes", "obstacles to the implementation of curriculum changes", "facilitating factors for the implementation of changes ", and "empowerment of human resources for the implementation of changes" resulted.
Conclusion: Before implementing the changes, it is necessary to create suitable infrastructures and remove the existing obstacles in the way of implementing the changes, and provide a suitable basis for the implementation of curricula according to the local conditions; Otherwise, will not achieve the real change that is intended in the curriculum and in practice we will face some kind of false change.
