Introduction: In the covid 19 pandemic. With the decrease in attendance of students. At the bedside, worry about. The inadequacy of education was felt. Critical situation. He forced doctors to treat more than to teach. so. It became important to create solutions in education. This study investigated the effect of peer education on the prescribing of pediatric students during the covid-19 pandemic. Methods: This semi-experimental study was conducted on 60 medical students. These students were randomly assigned into two experimental (30) and control (30) groups. In the control group, teaching was done by the teacher and in the experimental group by peers. The pre-test was conducted before the intervention and the post-test after 3 weeks for both groups. In addition, in the intervention group, some open-ended questions were asked to check the satisfaction and attitude towards peer education. Data analysis was done with t and covariance tests. Results: There was a significant difference in the average scores of prescriptions writing before and after teaching in both groups (0.000). Also, the mean in the experimental group was different from the control group (0.000) and peer education was seen to be more effective (0.001). The majority of students (76.6%) were satisfied with peer education. A worry-free atmosphere was recognized as the most important benefit of this education (46.6%). 93.3% of people agreed with the use of this method in the pandemic. Conclusions: Considering the effect of peer education and satisfaction with it, it is recommended to use this method in educational programs.
