Analyzing the Status and Outcomes of the Educational Departments Climate in Islamic Azad University of Medical Sciences

Introduction: The climate of educational groups is a key factor affecting academic performance, motivation, and interpersonal relationships in universities. This study aimed to assess the current status and consequences of educational departments climate in Islamic Azad University of Medical Sciences.
Methods: The type of research was a sequential mixed data type with an exploratory approach, which in terms of nature included meta-synthesis/Delphi stages in the qualitative part and descriptive with survey/correlation stages in the quantitative part.. The data collection method in the qualitative part and meta-synthesis stage was a systematic review of the literature, and in the Delphi stage, a worksheet, and also in the quantitative part, a 60-item researcher-made questionnaire taken from the qualitative part for internal validity and a 34-item questionnaire for assessing the validity of the model. In the qualitative part and in both stages, as well as in the quantitative part, validity and reliability were examined, and the results indicated the validity and reliability of the research tools. The data analysis method in the qualitative part and the meta-synthesis stage was systematic analysis, and in the Delphi stage, the Kendall agreement coefficient, and in the quantitative part, it included descriptive and inferential statistics (confirmatory factor analysis and one-sample t-test), with Maxqda-V2018, Spss-V23, and Smart Pls-V3 software.
Results: Results indicated that the educational group climate was perceived as suboptimal. Significant differences were found among the components of perceived group climate. Furthermore, negative climate was linked to reduced job satisfaction, lower motivation, limited professional interactions, and decreased psychological well-being.
Conclusion: The results of  the status of group climate requires managerial interventions, structural reforms, and enhanced interpersonal competencies to improve educational effectiveness and academic quality.
