The attention to the process of creativity in Practical Courses of Nursing

Introduction: Nursing education focuses on creative thinking and teaching. Nursing education has a significant role in promoting clinical decision-making skills and creativity in nursing students and preparing them for the clinical environment and nursing role. Therefore, one of the main issues in nursing education is the assessment of the amount of attention to the process of creativity. The purpose of this paper was to assess the amount of attention to the process of creativity in practical Courses.
Methods: The method of study was a descriptive, Cross Sectional study. The 270 nursing students were selected by random Sampling. The questionnaire of Ku and et al (2015) was used to collecting data. The validity of instrument based on Experts opinion and reliability through Cronbachchr('39')s (alpha) coefficient (0.88) was approved. This questionnaire contained 27 items with a 5-point Likert scale. The data were analyzed using SPSS 25 and one-sample t-test.
Results: The results showed that the components of openness and perseverance (1.75± .62), thinking and integration (2.8± .70), association (1.76± .62), change (2.36± .67), resources and working environment  (2.12± .61), training and cooperation (1.57± .59), achievement and self-confidence (1.73± .58), professional growth (1.73± .60), lower than theoretical mean (3), that is, the curricula did not succeed in attention to creativity process and have not a favorable status in this matter.
Conclusions: Nursing education can help to create critical and creative thinking, self-learning, psychosocial skills, motor skills, time management ability, self-esteem, appropriate communication and active learning. Curricula should be organized in a way that foster talent and scientific excellence, exploration, creativity in students.
