Introduction: This study aimed to design a structural model for explaining the role of mediation of academic stress in relation to quality of life and perfectionism with stress coping styles in students. Method: The research was correlational. The statistical population of the study was all students of Kerman high school in the academic year of 1997-39. 367 students were selected through multistage random sampling method. Data were collected using CISS Stress Questionnaire (Endler & Parker, 1990), ESSA (2011), Educational Stress (FMPS) perfectionism (Frost, 1990). Descriptive statistics and structural equation modeling (SEM) were used to analyze the data. Results: The results of this study showed that perfectionism has a direct and indirect relationship with the mediator of academic stress, with coping styles. Also, 0.84 of the effect of perfectionism on stress coping styles is indirectly explained by the median of educational stress (p <0.01). Conclusion: Based on the results of the research, perfectionism and academic stress play a very important role in the styles of coping with stress in students and it is necessary to pay attention to these important variables in education.
