Content analysis of Basic Education Development Plan based on the Assumption of Health System with an Emphasis on Education

Background and Aims: Given the importance of Health education and health promotion are considered as important sources in economic, social and individual development, this study investigated the relationship Content analysis of Basic Education Development Plan based on the assumption of health system with an emphasis on education.

Methods: In this article, "Shannon Entropy" content analysis method is used which, using a new vison, discusses data processing in the content analysis both quantitatively and qualitatively. In Information Theory, entropy is an index to measure uncertainty expressed by a probability distribution. The content of Basic Education Development Plan along with 12 main components and 58 sub-components of Health education and promotion was examined in 2016.

Results: After discussing the entire document of Basic Education Development Plan, entropy content analysis showed that mental health component was the most frequent component with 97 cases and disability was the least frequent with 0 frequency.

Conclusions: Findings from frequency of components showed that components of Health System do not have a normal distribution so that very little attention is paid to Health education and Health promotion in this document.
