Relationship between Achievement Motivation and Academic Burnout Mediating Role of Self-Efficacy Tehran University students

Introduction: This study aimed to determine the relationship between achievement motivation and self-efficacy in students' academic burnout with the mediation is done
Methods: Method according to purpose and the method of data collection is the descriptive and correlation method. The study sample was composed of all students at Tehran University that Using a Cochran's formula and stratified sampling 405 persons were randomly selected. The research instrument was a questionnaire for this purpose achievement motivation questionnaire, Maslach burnout inventory or brush and education and self-Scherrer was used.
Results: The results showed that there a significant and positive relationship between achievement motivation and self-efficacy, and a significant negative correlation between achievement motivation and academic burnout and significant relationship and negative self-efficacy and academic burnout. The results of path analysis showed that self-efficacy as a mediator in the relationship between motivation and academic burnout plays.
Conclusions: The motivation on students' academic burnout has a significant positive effect, that is, with increasing the amount of motivation, the students' academic burnout decreases and with the decrease of the motivation, the students' academic burnout will increase, and the strengthening of the self-efficacy variable can be used as an agent to increase the motivation and reduce the burnout of Students.
