Sharing knowledge in the workplace and its relationship with the agility, professional development and maturity of teachers

Introduction: Knowledge sharing is a process through which people help the organization to achieve competitive advantage by using and transferring knowledge effectively. Therefore, the aim of this study was to determine the role of knowledge sharing with organizational agility, professional development and maturity of professors of Payame Noor University of Zahedan.

Methods: A correlational research project was used to conduct this research. The research community of professors of Payame Noor University of Zahedan Branch was in the academic year of 1998-99, among which 74 people were selected by simple random sampling method. Data were collected with the help of Behlool Knowledge Sharing Behavior Questionnaires (2014), Torang Lynn et al.chr('39')s (2005) Agility, Sarmad et al. (2011) Professional Development and Spidz Organizational Development (2007) and then by SPSS Software - Version 23 and It was analyzed using Pearson correlation coefficient method.

Results: The results of Pearson correlation coefficient showed that there is a positive and significant relationship between knowledge sharing with organizational agility (r = 0.21) and organizational maturity (r = 0.27) at 95% confidence level. There is also a significant relationship between knowledge sharing and professional development (p≤ 0/01). Also, learning motivation was able to explain 0.19 changes in teacherschr('39') knowledge sharing.

Conclusion: The results indicate the importance of professional development variable in predicting teacher knowledge sharing. Therefore, in order to improve knowledge sharing, they can have career advancement through familiarization and socialization of professors and the path of career advancement.
