Introduction: The purpose of this study is to design and validate an e-learning model for elementary school students with the chronic disease needed to frequent hospitalizations Method: following a combined research method, inductive content analysis was used to identify Components and drawn of model at first in qualitative section of research.
The statistical population in this section was included all published articles related to the subject extracted from the academic Information Databases During the years 2001 to 2019 which Using the purposeful sampling method, 49 articles were selected and analysed. In quantitative section, the resulting model was validated through using survey questionnaire. The statistical population was included 30 specialists in the fields of Educational technology, medical education, and e-learning planning. Results: content analysis of selected articles performed by21 Components were identified in e-Learning model which were included: policy, needs assessment, feasibility, Setting goals, analysis, design, personalization, user interface design, Content determination, educational factors, Scaffolding, interaction and participation, technology, motivational factors, Technical and organizational factors, supportive factors, updating, production and implementation, management and support, ethical considerations, and evaluation. Expert evaluation results indicated credibility, effectiveness, and efficiency of the e-learning purposed model to educate hospitalized elementary school students. Conclusion: according to the results, it is recommended that the authorities adopt appropriate strategies for utilize e-learning to improve academic achievement of hospitalized
