Introduction: Effective communication skills are crucial for human life, and one way to improve them is through education. The objective of this research is to investigate the impact of mobile-based education on effective communication skills on resilience, perceived stress, and performance of operating room technology students at Iran University of Medical Sciences. Methods: The present study is semi-experimental research of the pre-test-post-test design conducted on 89 undergraduate students of operating room technology at Iran University of Medical Sciences in the year 2022. After sampling by census method, education on effective communication skills was provided mobile-based. Standard questionnaires were completed by the participants before and after the intervention. Statistical tests and SPSS version 22 software were used to analyze the data. Results: The results indicated a significant increase in the resilience of the students in the sub-components of trust in personal instincts and tolerance of negative emotions (p<0.001), and control (p=0.026), and their performance in the sub-components of listening (p<0.001), emotion regulation (p=0.041), and insight in communication (p<0.001) after education. However, there was no statistically significant difference in perceived stress among the students before and after the education (p=0.931). Furthermore, the results showed that among the demographic variables, gender had a statistically significant relationship with resilience (p=0.041), perceived stress (p=0.045), and performance (p=0.021). Conclusion: The results demonstrated that mobile-based education on effective communication skills had a significant impact on several sub-components of resilience and performance among the students. However, this education did not have a significant effect on their perceived stress.
