Introduction: Effective management plays a crucial role in the success of educational institutions and training organizations. Good management predicts the success of the organization, which is more effective than the research and development of information technology or even the skills of the employees. This study aims to develop a professional competency model for managers in the education and training of Razavi Khorasan Province using a mindfulness approach based on Langerian theory.
Methods: The present study is considered applied research in terms of its objective and an exploratory mixed-methods approach. The statistical population of the research consisted of national and provincial experts and top managers with relevant expertise, who were selected through purposive sampling. Data collection methods included library research, semi-structured interviews for the qualitative section, and a researcher-developed questionnaire derived from the qualitative findings for the quantitative section.
Results: The findings of the research showed that 81% of the competence of education managers is based on the dimensions and components of being present in the moment of Langer's mind, which has 4 dimensions as follows: awareness of the surroundings, seeking new things, creating new things and. and flexibility is dependent. These dimensions can explain and predict the competence of education managers.
Conclusion: According to the results, it is recommended that the education departments of Razavi Khorasan implement the model gradually, following a roadmap and long-term strategic plan. An operational letter and a paradigm with a local and regional perspective can aid in the implementation process.
